Thursday, April 30th will be A.C. Houghton Elementary School's annual carnival. This carnival is put on by our Parent Club and raises money for valuable school activities. Just like in years past, we are creating "baskets" by grade level to raffle at the silent auction. The themes for the grade level baskets are:
Little Bobcats - Gardening (Wheelbarrow, plants/flowers, potting soil, garden tools/decorations, gloves, etc.)
Kindergarten - Baking (Bread/cake mixes, flour, sugar, aprons, mixing bowls/utensils, hand mixer, cutting boards, potholders, cake pans, baking sheets, cupcake items, etc.)
1st Grade - Summer Splashes (Swimming pool, beach balls, water inflatables, lawn chairs, ice chest, sunscreen, bug spray, beach towels, smores, umbrella, sand toys, etc.)
2nd Grade - Camping (Smores, tent roasting sticks, ice chest, camp chairs, headlamps, lanterns, flashlights, batteries, camp stove, sunscreen, bug spray, tarps, outdoor games)
3rd Grade - Family Game/Movie Night (movie tickets, popcorn, blankets, pillows, candy, games, pizza certificate, drinks, snacks, etc.)
ELL - Cinco de mayo (Jarritos, sodas, candy for pinatas, small inflatable beach balls, picnic towels, frisbees, Takis, Hot Cheetos, etc. NO squirt guns.)
If you are able and willing to contribute to this basket in any way, the students and teachers would greatly appreciate it! If you would like to donate money, we will purchase items to add to the basket or gift cards, or you are welcome to purchase items that have to do with our theme.
