hot chocolate

It looks like we may get snow this week! As the temperatures drop, check out these winter safety tips for kids from parents.com. Keep kids bundled up, protect their skin and don't forget to have them drink water.  If your kids are playing outside and develop rosy cheeks, a runny nose or complaints of cold fingers or toes, bring them inside and remove wet clothing. Have them move about and drink a hot beverage to raise their body temperature.

A fun way to hydrate is drinking hot chocolate! Check out this recipe from the article:

half cup of warm water

half cup of unsweetened almond milk

quarter cup of cocoa powder

one or more add-ins - honey, cinnamon sticks, vanilla extract, or mini marshmallows

Stay warm!
