IRRIGON – All three Irrigon schools were placed in a “Secure” status as a precautionary measure on Wednesday, September 29, from approximately 2:38 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. due to an incident in the area.  All students and staff were safe in the buildings. During the “Secure” status, all exterior doors to the schools were locked and students and staff were able to go about business as usual.

According to Superintendent Dirk Dirksen, the Morrow County School District appreciates the immediate response of the buildings to maintain a secure setting for students and staff, as well as the understanding of families, as this did interrupt end of the day activities.
